Ensures assets are maintained to achieve maximum useful life and safe operation by supervising or performing various tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance, and operation of electrical, mechanical and life safety systems throughout the facility. Has direct oversight of vendors on assigned projects and coordinates scheduling, construction and equipment modification for renovation and new construction projects.
Supervises individual project assignments from start to finish including scheduling and coordinating all activities so that projects are completed in accordance with approved plans.
Inspects, maintains and calibrates a variety of building equipment utilizing various measuring tools.
Provides technical support and guidance to IT Department for installation and operation of Data Center equipment.
Participates in developing and executing maintenance programs for building equipment.
Operates building automation systems, perform and record building inspections, participate in disaster recovery efforts.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
•High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in facility maintenance or in construction industry as an electrician, HVAC mechanic or controls technician.
•Must have knowledge of building operation systems and ability read and understand blueprints with emphasis on power distribution and electrical equipment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Energy management, building automation and facility management software applications.
•Proven technical problem solving abilities and vendor management skills.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA) Professional Designation SMA (Systems Maintenance Administrator) or SMT (Systems Maintenance Technical).
