At NCCI, we’re looking for an IT Intern to join our Help Desk team in providing first-level support to internal users of our computer systems and related equipment and services. You’ll have the opportunity to answer incoming phone calls, diagnose requests, provide immediate solutions, and assign problems/service requests to the appropriate support personnel.

Ensuring customer satisfaction will be essential in this role. In addition, our IT Intern will provide feedback and system status updates to users, log all requests into the problem tracking system, and monitor and report calls and call metrics from the time they are opened until the time they are closed.

This will be a virtual, paid internship for the Summer of 2024 (May – August).

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As an IT Intern, you’ll work on tasks that would be similar to our regular, full-time Help Desk Analyst role. You’ll be exposed to the various areas in IT, such as application development, information security, and infrastructure (server administration, database administration, desktop services, networking, telecom).

This work is usually done with guidance from a Senior Help Desk Analyst on our team. Throughout the program, we expect our interns to follow instructions that are provided, but we also want you to question why we do things the way that we do.

WHAT IT TAKES:

  • Must be able to work a schedule of 40-hours per week; Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm EST
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in MIS or a related field

  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Competitive starting base salary
  • Hands-on experience in a professional setting
  • Develop professional connections within NCCI
  • Work with a wonderful team of dynamic people to work with who are fun, caring, and friendly
