E-Publishing Coordinator

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS POSITION:

·Manage the Electronic Publishing process

·Act as the primary publishing liaison and consultant to internal customers

·Complete publication requests and projects that are produced by Information Publishing

·Manage the printing and distribution of NCCI manuals, circulars, and publications and ensure they are completed timely and within deadline expectation

·Update metadata; update and review XML content and tagging; and create HTML links for online manuals and circulars

·Act as the vendor liaison (manages external services, e.g., printing)

·Keep vendor production inventory documentation updated and current

·Contribute to the establishment of new procedures to streamline production processes

·Provide second-level support for Customer Service for product and technical questions

·Participate in systems testing (upgrades, fixes), as needed

WHAT YOU MUST BRING TO THE ROLE:

§Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years working experience in a single-source publishing environment (e.g., XML, HTML, PDF) and thorough understanding of these concepts

§In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate’s Degree plus a combination of 5 years of analytical experience, experience with NCCI Manuals Library, or publishing experience may be considered

§Strong project management skills

§Advanced verbal and written communications skills

§Knowledge in printing and distribution of paper publications

§Ability to perform technical analysis in Documentum and determine where/if errors are occurring

§Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as e-publishing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Arbortext Epic Editor)

§Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

§Ability to handle production projects across multiple business units and outside vendors

§Capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues/problems within the e-Publishing workflow

§Ability to work with schedules, priorities, and time estimates

§Knowledge of accurate use of standard proofreading symbols; ability to proofread accurately while following NCCI style guide and product specifications

§Knowledge of all the grammatical rules of the English language and excellent spelling skills
